This one looks like a great program - installed "setup" as admin. but did not launch, then I ran the "activate" file.

It installed perfectly in Win7 64bit.


I don't know how anyone could "Thumb Down" this one already. It has a very functional and well arranged "Ribbon" interface with plenty of tools and options. Very modern and up-to-date, and a GREAT example of why the ribbon is better than the old [File][Edit][View][Help] tabbing system of other programs.

Since the software is something that really needs to be tested over time, it's very hard to tell if it all works. It looks like better software than most of the surveilance software out there, and and most of those programs are MUCH MORE than $50.

I will be testing the ability to crop the sensitivity of the camera view down to my doorway on a busy street. I want to capture all the way to the street, but only activate the camera after someone comes near the door. This software claims to do just that!

- expect RAM usage to spike significantly while capturing.

One of the best Giveaways we've seen lately, especially if you need something like this.

Easily installed and registered, on opening a very attractive interface is displayed.
Using add camera my web camera was recognised and set up very easily.
After a few minutes motion detection was working without any difficulty.
Just over a year ago I was looking the programs of this nature, the ones I found did not even approach the quality of this program.
It appears to be such a versatile program that a full test would take some time.
I shall certainly be keeping this program and experimenting with it, it appears to be a really nice piece of work.

This is a timely giveaway for me as I've had three recent attempts to break into my workshop. After playing with the program for an hour, I am impressed with it. The sensitivity of the motion detection can be adjusted and parts of the area to be detected can be turned off, to save next doors cat triggering the camera. I haven't finished investigating all the options, but as yet I haven't seen where I can send video or photo's to a website, rather than just to email, nor do you appear to be able to change where the output is stored on your HDD. It seems it all goes to the programs own directory. I do like the idea of being able to play sound when motion is detected. Most burglars won't bother if they hear a dog.

I can't see anywhere that tells you the program is registered. The check for free updates button takes you to a dead link and the support centre button appears to do nothing.

This program is going to be extremely useful for me, so I am grateful to GAOTD and Zebra for today's giveaway.

If your premises have never been broken into, if you have no fear of ever being robbed, if you completely trust 100% of the worlds population to be honest and you have no interest in catching the criminals that violate your property, then this no use at all.
