During installation, it asked to load Ghost-Script 8-7-1 and I allowed it to.

I have the exact same problem. In Batch Convert Mode it merely creates a blank folder in the destination output directory. No file inside.
I have tried it many times.
Batch Mode and Hot folder mode. It just says Server Running and hangs forever.

The company gave us a non-working version.
This is called Tight-Fisted-Alley. They cannot bear to give you a free copy for one day.

I will uninstall this thing and also the GhostScript Ver8-7-1.
And clean the Registry after the uninstall.

I had been hunting for and trying out freeware that can do this function.
So I can warn you of some "freeware" out there:-

SomePDF to image
SomePDF to Word
SomePDF to......etc...

My Comodo Internet Security immediately warned it was secretly trying to do a Global Hook and can change some dll files. Not comfortable with that. Allowed that but don't feel comfortable. Later uninstalled the SomePDF2Image.

Office Convert PDF to JPG JPEG TIFF Free. This gives you a weak converter and endless, constant pestering to upgrade and pay money for the full version. Very sickening.

So what to do when the software developer gave GOTD a dud?

There is an excellent FREEWARE that can do PDF to image conversion.
It is PDF-XChange-Viewer. No dirty tricks in this software.
It really does the job.
You open the PDF file and do an Export to Image from the drop down menu on the left hand side of the screen.

Downloaded and installed then activated very fast on Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit. Added a PDF file to convert it to Jpeg, it started converting and converted it very fast too, but after converting the output folder was empty.... Not even one Jpeg in that folder...
Tried to convert it again, but with the same results...
Anyone else having the same problem?

JimN, first of all, install your program. Afterwards, exit the pdf converter program. Then click on Activate.exe BUT do not exit the zip yet. Wait for a while and then it should be activated. You do not need a key as the activte.exe is a key wrapper. It is automatically registering and putting in the key for you. That's it.

My review:
Registration was fine. It seems to work fine too. Thanks. There are free alternatives. You can find all sort of freewares sorted by categories and reviews. By the way, some pdf files are drm protected and watermarked so it means that they are copyrighted. If you have an electronic and mobile pdf viewer, you can view it. But you cannot convert them as it is illegal.

What's the benefit of this tool over the free, open source PDFCreator, wich is able to generate JPG, BMP, ... of anything that is printable in any application? Can't see why i should bother to try this one...
