Recommend the "Advanced" install over the Typical so you can control what gets indexed, whether or not you want to send "anonymous data" to them, and whether you want to install it to your hard drive or to an USB device.
Installation was a bit slow on a fast computer with a lot of RAM (MSWin7 64 bit).
Download is very slow at this time 00:30 PDT, don't know if that's due to a website problem or just that so many are downloading at the beginning of the giveaway.
First run locked up and "not responding", but closing and reopening worked fine. Fairly quick on the search for some not so well known artist (I did it to test the capabilities). Results found from 2 sites, including YouTube. Well known artists will give more results.
The software is very simple to use and has a nice look to it.
Being a giveaway today makes the price good, but IMHO it isn't worth the $79.90 regular price.
With that in mind, I'd rate it at a 4 out of 5.
@#1, Alaa: Go, ask your lawyer! It's different from country to country.
With great patience I was able to install this after 20 minutes of attempts. I installed it as a portable on my flash drive and on my laptop.
I searched for Blues Brothers and found many irrelevant results but it did find one on youtube and converted it to audio. I could have done that myself using one of many free tools or many I have found here.
The legality depends on where you live and if you already own the song(s). I was recording songs off of the radio long before the internet but legal issues only became a problem when it became this convenient.
It does not bypass podcast registrations fees but is useful to download the free ones listed and many radio stations.
I went to youtube to see if a "button" appeared to download the video but nothing appeared. (I already have Internet Download Manger's button so I am not sure if that prevented it from appearing.)
It's a nice program that I am happy to have as a portable and on my computer. If I were to spend $60.00 USD I would by a nice Security Suite. I don't really see anything this can do that I can't do using freeware but it's a nice package.
Free alternatives:
Freecorder
CamStudio
Free Sound Recorder
Screamer Radio
If the visitors here are any indication, the RIAA apparently has accomplished its mission of terror. Are you *seriously* afraid that the MP3 police will come beat down your door for downloading a program that *might* have the capability of recording something? SERIOUSLY??
There is enough terror being spread in this world without adding to it with such inane nonsense as this concern. If these words still don't calm you, perhaps you should return to hiding under your bed. That is, after first checking for communists, terrorists, etc.
As for this offering, my 2 cents is that I've tried every version of this since v6, hoping that it would improve; only to be disappointed at the confusing UI and (as I recall) the inability to specify a song to be watched for/recorded in the future. What I mostly recall from this software is my continual resolution never to install this again.
The (now) free RarmaRadio is a better alternative, IMHO. It has a *great* interface, an extensible database of (just about) every radio station on the planet, the ability to record multiple stations at once and the ability to watch for/record particular songs.

The Giveaway is called the 'Standard' version. The value of the program is quoted for a 'Platinum' version. The web publisher's website does not distinguish between a Standard or Platinum version. That suggests to me that the GOTD Standard version is somehow feature restricted. So what features are limited. The program does not appear to have a 'Help>About' window so program version cannot be confirmed. There is a 'Product Activation' section in the 'Options>General' window that identifies the 'AudialsOne Standard' program but it is not clear what the indicators are of an 'activated' program. How will I know it's activated? The program installed without problem. I haven't tested functionality yet so cannot comment on that.
