Great free alternative in case you miss this offer: Revo Uninstaller.

The free part is wonderful in itself and I've never needed the pro.

I've seen a lot of people write about getting both Revo Uninstaller & Cleanse Uninstaller Pro 6.5, uninstall the same program with both & see who comes out on top, yet I haven't seen anyone who's actually done that & given their opinion on which is better.
I've had Cleanse Uninstaller Pro since the last time GOTD gave the program away, (seems like close to a year ago) I've tested that version extensively against Revo Uninstaller & I have to say that Revo is simply better & easier. BUT, Cleanse has options & features that Revo Free doesn't have. (Force Uninstall, Filter System/Hidden Entries)
Revo is one click everything. It automatically creates a restore point as soon as you uninstall a program, it goes deep into the registry to find leftover files, although Revo Pro goes deeper.
As most people, in my opinion, that check GOTD daily, I try to keep my computer running smooth with as little programs as possible but what always happens is that I download & install nearly everything that show up on GOTD, test it, keep or uninstall it. So it would be wise to have a good uninstaller. Revo is a great program but Cleanse Uninstaller Pro 6.5 is also very good for certain issues, problem is, those issues don't arise enough to use this program.
I later uninstalled Cleanse because it was pointless to have. Malware Bytes has a File Assassin built in that is similar to Cleanse's "Force Uninstall".
Just my opinion.

Those who proclaim Revo the king of freeware uninstallers have not tried ZSoft Uninstaller http://www.zsoft.dk/index/software_details/4 (search for the 2.5 beta). It does everything the *paid* version of Revo does and it does it better.
As for Cleanse? Test it against Revo & ZSoft and draw your own conclusions. I have and I'm continuing to use ZSoft, fwiw.

I installed this (version 5.0) when it was offered April of last year. I'm running Windows XP and Uninstaller Pro was able to COMPLETELY uninstall quite a few programs that I'd already tried to uninstall through Windows Add/Remove programs.
I'm very happy with the program and look forward to upgrading!

With regard to Revo Uninstaller, mentioned, my impression lately is that the standard Revo that we've known and loved has been deprecated in the last few months. Last time I looked Revo's deep scan had been moved into the Pro product leaving us with little more than each product's own uninstall.
That suggests that Cleanse U/i Pro 6.5 might be a good grab. Anyone?
