This is a good program. It was offered before and I bought a licence. I used it to clone my three year production laptop to a much older, refurbished desktop. It took Windows 10 some time to install the drivers for the desktop hardware, but now it runs smoothly.

Booting win 10 from a USB stick is no fun, it takes 10-15 minutes to fully load everything and to run properly the OS. You can not do editing on video, graphics images or intensive memory use software, because of the win 10 characteristic that require temporary files for everything that it does. A 64GB USB stick will be clogged and will slow down to a almost complete stop after few minutes of work in win 10.
Furthermore, to be able to clone or install bootable clone on a new PC, you need to pay $29.95 for a premium software.

I don't have a suitable usb drive at hand right now....
so it would be nice if there was another way to register this little gem.

If you are unable to get a functional USB drive by then, then sadly you will not be able to register the program afterwards. As the site generates a registration key by email that matches the USB-hardware you've plugged in.
Personally, i only registered with my USB drive which had still other data on it, the registration procedure does not require for the USB drive to be empty and it also will not format during the registration process. So i can use the program whenever i feel ready or when i stored the data from the USB drive somewhere else.
