Installed and registered on a Win 8.1 64 bit system without problems.

A little bit stylish interface, easy to find and change presets for a lot of devices.

Well, the marketing department claims :

"With brand-new kernel, it enables you to convert any videos with 32x faster real time converting speed and highest possible quality."

Wow, that sound great. I tested this and another one of the many video converters, which showed up on GAOAT.

- A 1.2 GB .wmv video (res 1280x720) to a 619 MB .mp4 (res 720x480) file in min 11:54. The Aiseesoft Total Video Converter Platinum (GOAT Sep. 2013) finished the same task in 7:35.

It took most of the cpu time, mainly on kernel 1. The result is the same quality level, like the Aiseesoft. But : how do they claim, that this is now 32x faster... exactly 32 times, not about 30 times or less than 34 times...

I tried the option to add photos. I cannot choose single photos, I have to choose a directory. Okay, I took one with 50 images. Could not see the result, because of "abnormal termination, error code: -1".

I tried to find out, what this means. No result.

Uninstalled.

When you go to the page for your registration code it may not be apparent to older eyes that it is there because of the colour scheme, but it is there in the lower part of the box.

A pretty usable but clunky looking interface, on a quick test on a 1.5 gig AVI file to an H264 HD video, it allowed me to keep original resolutions a useful option.
Having said that it did hammer all my CPU’s four cores even though I have a graphics card and at medium quality it estimated it would take around 50 mins to convert.
If you stop the conversion early it leaves the part video intact on your drive, personally I like this as it allows you to do a quick check of what the conversion will look like.

I was not able to stop it checking for updates as this part was greyed out under the options menu.

An easy to use video converter, but as with most software offered recently a pretty hefty pricetag.

It's an "interesting" program.

I have version 3.10.3 from months ago & now 5.0.2.
I must say that I prefer the layout of 3.10.3 better than this latest version.... BUT.... a 567MB MP4 file ended up as a 1.16GB AVI when converted with 3.10.3 ... but only 719MB when converted by 5.0.2 version.

I have NOT tried the "quality" of the converted video files - but have always been more than satisfied with the 3.10.3 version.

I'll just have to see if the newer version is "better" !

Hmmm! I've just taken a look at "side by side" views of the startup screens on my 'puter and it DOES appear that the older version has more adjustments immediately available and therefore more amenable to cater for various outputs when needed.

I have acquired several conversion programs here, and have only on very rare occasions had to select a different program when 3.10.3 failed to finish.

I think that I'm unlikely to be enticed to use 5.0.2 version, but if you don't have the earlier version, this one will probably do for most people.
