It may be a useful program... but it seems to be very spy-ish. It tries to call home without asking for yor consent; it opens Internet Explorer without asking for yor consent; it tries to change your Internet Explorer settings without asking for yor consent; it tries to invoke installation of some new components for your Internet Explorer without asking for yor consent. Thumbs down, definitely.

Hello everyone.
To register the program you need to run the application and choose any of 4 wizards available. You will see "Activate" button in the top right corner. The activation is on-line.
Enter the code from the readme.txt file to unlock the software.
UPDATE: if you do not have yellow "Activate" button in all the wizards, the program is already registered.

Note to Albert. Before repartitioning, it's better to back up rather than rely on recovery programs. This isn't to disparage use of iCare, simply to emphasize best security practice. Better a fence at the top of a cliff than a hospital on the bottom.

I installed iCare Data Recovery 3.6.2 back on March 29, 2010. In June when I went to use it, the registration was no longer present to the software. I tried putting the registration key from the readme.txt in the installation .zip packet into the application, and I only got a popup message explaining that the registration had expired. How long is this registration good for? Mine didn't even last three months, does it say anywhere when the "time-limited offer" will expire? I can't seem to find where it states the time limit of the Giveaway. Thank you again GOTD and iCare Recovery Software Ltd, for a useful utility. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks like it has a lot of potential.
