The Good
* Performs image-level and file-level backups.
* Multiple different backup methods, including full and differential backups.
* Can backup files which are currently being used.
* Can create bootable CD/DVD (Linux based and WinPE) or bootable USB/flash drives.
* Can backup to multiple different locations, including locally (on your computer or external media), or remotely (on a network computer or FTP).
* Can create copies of whole partitions or hard drives.
* Ability to automate tasks, either using a scheduler or cyclic backup.
* Handy "smart backup" feature.
* Has basic hard drive management features, such as partitioning and recovering deleted partitions.
* Has a feature to make migrating between different Windows' versions less painful.
* Has handy step-by-step wizards to guide the user when using a feature.
The Bad
* Lacks a little bit in terms of speed of backup creation and compression level vs. rival software.

This version 9.5 is a full clone of commercial Drive Backup 10 Professional, but just without WinPE CD:

WinPE is paid software by Microsoft and can't be distributed for free with freeware products.

@ #3: Windows 7 Home Premium Backup will backup a partition; yet it won't restore the partition without wiping the rest of the disk.
That's Microsoft's downfall, and makes Windows 7 Home Premium's backup program worthless. Makes me wonder why it was even included, and what moron set it up to destroy partitions that weren't backed up?
Myself, am looking for a backup solution that is not so invasive; similar to older Acronis True Image versions, or PowerQuest's Drive Image.

Installed Drive Backup 9.0 Professional Edition (English Version) when it was the GOTD on 2009 JULY 27, and there was no mention of WinPE at that time.

What a difference a 0.5 update makes: version 9.0 was 84.3 MB and version 9.5 is 300 MB, and yet no WinPE.
Thought some folks would like to know.
