Finally a great and very useful program after crappy software released here over the past few days.
As FREE (online) alternative (so no installation needed unlike this GAOTD), I recommend this amazing online OCR service, which supports not only PDF files as input/output but also GIF, BMP, JPEG, TIFF or PNG as input and DOC, TXT or RTF as output.

Win 7 64 bit. This is a disaster! Everytime I try to register it, this opens up my browser with a pop up window and urges me to buy the software. Even though it says registered successfully, next time I start the software it is still not registered and pops up the ad window again. It is so unnerving I am going to get a stroke because of it. The output is a total disaster too. In wordpad format? Any documents with pictures or graphs are out of question. Anyone in their right mind better get the calibre e-book management software with and inbuilt OCR feature which is far superior to this junk. Thumbs down and uninstall.
Tried to scan a couple of PDFs (each document in a different language so I did not do it in batch mode but rather one file at a time) and noticed -as I expected- that when the PDF has been created out of a native text file (Word, Notepad, etc.) WITHOUT images, the results are acceptable (not great but acceptable).
On the other hand if the PDF has been created out of an image file depicting text (say a screenshot capture of a letter), the results are absolutely dreadful.
I must admit that I expected a better performance from a PDFZilla product.
Using Windows 7 Pro 64x
Program won't register
When I open the program and click on About and enter the key it says Registered Successfully - Restart the Program, but the restarted program still says Unregistered. When I try to OCR a pdf it says that as unregistered it will only do 3 pages and do I want to register. When I click on that Register button it takes me directly to their homepage and wants me to buy the program at a discount for the next few hours. I've tried this 4 times with the same results.
Experimenting with it unregistered
I finally tried it unregistered on two single-page pdf's and the results of both files was so poor that I could type the entire pdf's faster than I could edit the OCR results. I've seen freeware OCR programs that work better than this. Maybe it works better when registered, but I can't tell. In short, I'm not impressed.

Tried the software, Does it's job with text but fails with math formulas i didn´t expect to work with math formulas, so i guess it's mostly ok
Default install directory is C:\

Windows XP sp3 環境で、
英文pdf のテキスト変換、jpeg画像のpdf化も問題なし。
受け入れがたいのが、テキストの出力フォルダを指定できないこと。
c:\直下の"PDFOCR_Output"というフォルダに出力される。
画像を変換したpdfは出力先を指定できるのに。
アンインストールかな？
