Well, the most important feature a PDF converter should have is the QUALITY of the output file, besides being able to handle tables, images and hyperlinks, of course.
Unfortunately this GAOTD utterly fails to deliver good quality in the resulting converted Word document and this is enough for me to give it a THUMBS DOWN, not to mention that it can perform just one conversion (from PDF to WORD): how about other editable file formats (DOCX, HTML, TXT, IMAGES etc...??
Dude, for 40 bucks you must do more....much much more: as matters stand, it's not worth downloading even as FREEWARE....LOL!!

Hey Louis Gu (#2):
You really got some pair! In your pseudo-review in slot #2, you complain about today's GOTD as
And then you refer us to a site which is selling a program for $49.95!
Worse yet, the program being sold there is built on the backs of other people's work and code. Code which those people put out for free. Like the ebook anti-DRM functions coming from The Dark Reverser's Python code and the ebook format-conversion tools basically duplicating the capability of the free Calibre program.
But the part of your post that really made me laugh is when you said
Oh, so you resent that the GOTD is a single-function tool? Then why refer us to this "Epubor" website, where almost every single thing they sell is an over-priced, single-function tool? Take a look at their side panel entitled "Ebook Tools", and you'll see things like their "Epub to Mobi" converter, a one-trick-pony that they sell for a whopping $19.99. How about "Epub to PDF"? Sure, we can sell you that too, for $19.95! Practically everything in that column is one-function software, all of them going for a ludicrous $20 a pop, an obvious money-grab considering that all those myriad conversions can be achieved for free with an esteemed, well-supported app like Calibre, or even something like Hamstersoft's Free Ebook Converter (which I believe uses the Calibre libraries anyway).
Considering that your struggling English is almost identical to that found on the "Epubor" site, I think it would be safe to conclude that you are affiliated with that site in some way, maybe even the owner/operator. In any case GOTD-ers know when someone is trying to con them, and we don't take kindly to it. So do us a favor, get lost, and take your shilling somewhere else.

#4:
The point is not that you cannot change C:\ to C:\Program Files (or C:\Program Files (x86) for what it matters). The point is that it should not have C:\ by default in the first place. This is absolutely against Microsoft standard procedures for program installations. Same goes for C:\output instead of C:\My Documents. This is bad programming because you cannot count on users to pay that much attention to where the product will install.

Pros
*Easy to use
*Fast
*Supports batch processing
*Supports drag + drop
*Can convert whole PDFs or select pages
Cons
*Poor conversion quality
*Wants to install directly into C:/ instead if C:/Program Files
*Wants to output into C:/output instead of a better location like My Documents

When it eventually allowed me to enter the registration code, endlessly opening new tabs in my browser, a simple interface appeared.
I tested it on three files, the first one lots of graphics, it made a total mess of it, the second one an instruction manual simple graphics but text in columns became so large and so convoluted that word could not open it.
The third, and by this stage I don't have much faith it produced an absolutely perfect document, it was a mixture of text and graphics produced by OpenOffice..
In all cases the file size increase was mind-boggling, the second one went from 8 megs to more than 200, the third one went from less than 1 meg to 35 meds.
After I had tried on the first 2 document I was ready to slate it but then on the third try it produced an absolutely perfect document, so I will keep it, but then I do keep a number of converters.
I keep a number of them because I know the complexity of a PDF files internal structure; it can vary from just a number of images of text to compressed text and images plus masses of formatting instructions. Sometimes one of them will produce a decent document and I keep that one.
If you're going to keep it just keep an eye on the file size it produces, they are humongous.
