Hold up everyone this programme will not read it back to you and I checked the website and it only go'es to their iris website and has no info on this programme. I think it is a fake.
I have done everything it said and I pasted some text on it and it did nothing when I asked it to read it. No sound and yes my sound is on because just before I put the text on it I stopped the music and up my volume and nothing from the programme.
Even restarted my computer as some programmes require it and still nothing it is a dud. Good luck. If someone does get it to say something please let people here know.

Dear GOTD users,
there seems to be some problem on the developers side and we've already reported the problem.
We hope the problem will be fixed soon or the offer will be repeated.
We are really sorry for the inconvenience!

This ReadTrix is a wonderful TOOL.
We can use it with other TOOLS to accomplish tasks that this TOOL cannot accomplish on it's own.
For example,
-- this does not read text elsewhere but only what has been cut and pasted into it's own little window ( my Amazon Kindle reads anything I publish to it in readable form, including existing books of any length ).
-- this does not scroll as it reads ( my Amazon Kindle does, turning the page for me, letting me read as it vocalizes the words, a terrific help in maintaining consistent progress through a complex and lengthy book ),
-- this does not record the audio ( neither does my Amazon Kindle ).
But with a separate screen audio recorder software, or speaker-out recorder, it should be possible to past book text ( or other text ) into this and create audio files to listen to later - arduous, but workable.
If we want to hear our own writing, such as a business proposal or public presentation, or a broadcast email we are planning to send, or our letter to the editor, coming back at us in a different voice?
This can be a powerful and critical editing assistant, letting us review our own words from a different perspective that we would not otherwise have taken advantage of.

There's an 80/20 rule in unfinished works such as these ... 80% of the work is still needed to make this readily useful.
Like my Amazon Kindle, the reading is expressionless:
-- does not know to raise the voice pitch at the end of a question ( it does not read ahead to see the question mark coming ).
-- does not know to pause at line breaks regardless of punctuation, such as reading all in one stream "chapter one she saw the fire on the horizon ..." and so on, there should be a pause at the line breaks, even without punctuation, "chapter one ... [ pause ] ... she saw the fire on the horizon ..."
-- does not have alternative voices ( let alone accents ! ),
-- does not have speed control ... note, when eventually implemented, be careful of just changing speed without maintaining pitch and maintaining the meanings of pauses, and not making the reader voice seem breathless - it is exhausting to listen to someone read who does not ever ever ever pause to take a breath! As a listener, I get panicked and imagine the reader voice keeling over and dying! We must hear pauses for inhaling! But the ability to slow the reading down would be nice, too, with adjustable pauses between sentences, for us to be able to better think and consider what is being presented, there are many subtle and necessary variables to successful vocalized communication.
-- reading anything thrown at it would be a challenge, such as applications for the blind, reading what order of open windows on a complex multi-program display screen or screens, and when to stop and interact, and how to act on voice inputs from the audience, just yes or no, or more complex speech, and then we get into voice recognition software where "how to recognize speech" gets interpreted as "how to wreck a nice beach", good luck with that.
-- translating between what language the text is in, and what language is spoken by the reading voice?
-- context, I pasted the description and it read "resume" as "résumé" "... Pause and résumé playback at will ..." - ooops!

So I look forward to evolutions of this software, and I wish the developer great good luck ... and especially legal great good luck, see below.

Aside: I do notice the sudden unexplained cessation of complaints like "... How can this even be legal given DMCA restrictions on repurposing other people's copyright works ? ! ? ..." - seriously, this is okay for you copyright-complainers, but yesterday's Audials is not? C'mon, folks, recognize the reality of TOOLS not being actions in and of themselves, it depends on what you do with them, and the reality is that in our own home, we can do what we want with anything that we've got.

After installation and registration, I am invited to click on the program icon to discover new options.
First click on "hidden features" leads straight to a 404 error page! The same when i tried to share by copying and pasting the given link. From the second click, a window opens and asks "Enter your spell" ???
It seems that the reading in a language other than the PC language is imperfect (because of the accent).
Too bad we can't save the audio file.... the program becomes useless to me!
