Excellent program if you want to be organized and efficient and (like me) don’t like the W7 Start Menu, since it gives you more functionalities, compared to the basic W7 version, such as the ability to add your own programs, folder & files to the start menu and the option to group your programs by purpose (games, utilities, graphics, videos, security apps etc…).
The main difference I can see between this edition and the previous ones is that this version is compatible with Windows 8.1.
The only CONS I found is its annoying delay when hovering over folders.

The first FREE tool mentioned above even enables you to use search engines in order to easily find files & folders in your PC.
Personally, to keep my PC (and myself) organized, I prefer to follow another (FREE)approach…

I have version 4.76 and thoroughly recommend everyone trying it.
I would appreciate if anyone can post what differences there are between 4.76 and this version 4.87 ?
My version is not transparent and is clear and easy to read.
If you instal lots of progs then under windows start menu they can run off your screen. Although manually you can create folders, and laboriously drag and drop yourself to tidy up the Windows version, why bother when this sorts them all in alphabetical order with a slider at the bottom for easy access .
It also has a power control button/ panel with easy options to lock, switch user, log off, switch user, shut down ,sleep , hibernate , undock .

Some advice:
http://www.wikihow.com/Add-a-Folder-to-Start-Menu
I have added new folders (e.g. Imagers, Graphics, Video) to "All programs" and moved all concerning programms to the right folder. I have got a very tidy start menu without depending on a software I can only install once without purchase and without support. Being able to start my several hundred programs (by the way portable if possible) without porblems is a necessity for me and as I suppose others, too.
There is a more restricted free version of "Start Menu X", too. Differences to be found on
http://www.startmenux.com/registration.html
And there is a free version of "Start Menu XP" for people who like the Windows XP look.
Thank you GOTD. And thank you OrdinarySoft from some unknown country.
